I'm no fan of aliens in a fantasy novel, though I do like to read about them in Science Fiction novels. You could argue that "A wrinkle in time" was partly a Science fiction novel but for me there were too many things missing for that. Science played such a very small part in this novel.
I must say that I can't really understand why it's so popular. I'm sure I wouldn't have liked it as a kid, because I'm still a huge fan of children's novels and I was in my twenties when I first read Harry Potte ...more

It's a miracle I got through this. I never could get into it as a child, and after reading the first half I couldn't figure out why I didn't like it. Now, I know. The second half just drug on and on and on. I just didn't like any of the characters anymore, and I'm really not sure what the planet with the "beasts" had to do with anything. I'm so disappointed, but I'm glad I finally got through it.
