The question I have in mind when reading these children's classics is: Is this something I want to read to my daughter eventually? The English or American children's classics are unknown to me, having been raised in French only, so it's with pleasure that I'm reading them little by little. I am in love. I am so surprised and rather sad that I never read this series as a child. I am looking forward to completing it. It is magical and lovely and it is quite the page turner!

I didn't like this as an adult - too nakedly Christian - but it's a kids book and the audiobook was only 4 hours so now I know what's in it.
