I read this when I was in the third grade at the suggestion of our school librarian. It changed my view of literature forever. Before that I'd been reading books like The Bobbsey Twins, which I loved, but they didn't exactly transport me to another world. Jane Eyre did. I loved everything about it. I don't know how I would have reacted if I'd read it first as an adult, but I'll never forget the impact it had on me as a child.

Wonderful book. I did not read this in High School, so took the challenge as the movie came out. Have yet to see the movie, but thoroughly enjoyed the book. Well written, interesting characters and overall a great story.
