In a way, the hunger games trilogy prompts self reflection. what are we truly fighting for? are we fighting at all... for what's right?? what are we taking for granted? what do we really consider as good entertainment on our society? are we actually watching people suffer without giving life a second thought? who are the self absorbed capital people with glamour, layers of painted faces and superficiality? is it you? unbelievable to some; but people in this world are actually living a day to day

After reading and learning to appreciate all the complex characters that continue through the Hunger Games Trilogy, I was so disappointed in the way the author chose to end her story. While I realize that she needed to tie up all the loose ends in her own way, I really loved some of the more human characters and found myself wishing it had ended very differently.

Katniss was whiny, annoying and just got on my nerves. I liked her character in the first book, and in the second book, maybe...in this one, it just went downhill, I had to work really hard just to get through with the book. Not my favorite out of the series. I guess what they say is true, a sequel or third book can never compare with the first.

Although it is not my favorite from THG Trilogy, I still enjoyed it a lot. It is kind of sad, but at least the ending is not as bad as I thought it would have been. Spoiler...(The only thing I disliked was Prim's death.)
