Dragon Dance by Angela Knight
One word: ENTERTAINING
I don’t particularly like stories about super-power infected humans, but Angela Knight does it with such style and certain panache, I just can’t hold the theme choice against her. As with all things Knight the steam is up in the stratosphere, and the leather-clad hunks and that chops licking tiger sticking his head out of Tracker’s chest more than compensate for the whole aliens-did-it hoopla.

"Dragon Dance" by Angela Knight was an interesting, futuristic tale that focused mainly on a special type of human called a Hyper. Hypers have what most consider supernatural powers, and no one knows why they exist or who can become one of these special humans. When Sergeant Arial Dean, a hostage negotiator, tries to protect a family from its Hyper patron, two things happen: first, she learns that things can completely change with just a touch, and two the sexy federal Hyper agent Tracker might "Dragon Dance" by Angela Knight was an interesting, futuristic tale that focused mainly on a special type of human called a Hyper. Hypers have what most consider supernatural powers, and no one knows why they exist or who can become one of these special humans. When Sergeant Arial Dean, a hostage negotiator, tries to protect a family from its Hyper patron, two things happen: first, she learns that things can completely change with just a touch, and two the sexy federal Hyper agent Tracker might possibly have met his match. I liked the world Ms. Knight built in this story and I liked the lightheartedness between the two characters. It wasn't terribly passionate or erotic, but the romantic element was there and the chemistry between Josiah and Arial meshed well.

"Caught by the Tides" by Diane Whiteside was definitely historical romance meets paranormal twists. The story was interesting and enjoyable set in the Napolean war time frame. The main focus was a King's mage badly injured and targeted for death taken in by a lonely widow who feels a certain duty for king and country. Both Emma and Owen have a great deal of power neither realizes, and a common enemy who would like nothing better than to see both dead or in the service of the French. The romance was fairly fast between Emma and Owen, but old-fashioned and nicely put together in this story. The novella was a little strange at first, but I did like the story as a whole in the end.

"Queen of All She Surveys" by Emma Holly was an interesting tale of political intrigue with a touch of god-like powers culminating in a romance between a prince and queen. Tou and Memanon was erotically charged from the first moment they laid eyes on one another. Their "escapades" were powerful for such a short story, and made for an entertaining and enjoyable read.

"In a Wolf's Embrace" by Lora Leigh was just an amazing story! Loved Matthias and Grace together, and loved the romance and sex between them. So much went on in this novella it's hard to believe it was just a short story. This is another installment of the Breed series and was just fantastic and emotionally charged from start to finish. Definitely recommend to all Lora Leigh, paranormal romance, and erotica fans!

Overall, I liked all the stories although Lora Leigh's contribution was a definite five! They were all well written and all the stories flowed, but some seemed part of other series I have yet to read and others were just fantastic on their own. I'll let all you paranormal romance fans be the judge of this anthology!

I only read the Breeds story and based my rating on that alone. I loved how he wanted her to give her heart to him without the influence of the "mating heat" so he refused to touch her. ...more

Dragon Dance - 4 1/2 Stars - I love Angela Knight. She's so imaginative.

Caught by the Tides - 2 Stars - Long and difficult to read.

Queen of All She Surveys - 4 1/2 Stars - I love all the tales of the Demon World and of course this is no exception. I am always sad when these stories end becaues I can't get enough.
