ALL THE FEELS.

This was gut-wrenching. It made me reflect on so many things and also made me realize that so much of what we complain about is meaningless when you take into account the atrocities that are happening across the globe. After 2021, it also made me realize that there are many Lailas and Mariams enduring so much pain and heartache every day with no one to rescue them.

I listened to an abridged version -f this story and it felt like it was missing something. The Characters were depicted well, but parts of the plot were jumpy. I know abridgers try to find the most interesting chapters to place in a story, but having red THE KITE RUNNER twice I wanted more of Hosseini's language. He describes Afghanistan very well for Americans and I really wanted to see that world and not just the dialogue between the outcast woman and her sister. The ending is so well done eve ...more
