While I am a fan of this book, I have to say his Swamp Thing series is infinitely superior. That said,I did enjoy this story. The loss of humanity is what this story is about (as was Swamp thing). All have traded it in one way or another in order to fight crime. The real heroes who never forget who they are die when the fake monster show up and in reality, they are the true heroes of this story. The rest get caught in moral traps they can't escape from. I'm reading this after watching the movie. I saw the movie for the sheer fact that my friend had an extra ticket and I had no plans that night. I could've gone without the gore, but I was very surprised by how much I liked this movie as a whole. with that said, I ironically prefer the movie to the graphic novel. The movie simply tells the story better. Unlike Moore's novel, the movie utilizes the flashbacks to build suspense and mystery. Moore is also unfocused and I find myself skimming some di ...more

A great book. An interesting siuation with each character having there own personalities that you would know like a best pal. All the diffrent characters joining together for a big finish. It's just incredible. ...more

It was hard for me to get started on it. The first 4 chapters didn't really wow me. Then I got into it... and man! Great book. Not the best ever, but darn good. I look forward to comparing it to the movie. ...more

1) Alan Moore must be one sick bastard.
2) Modern-day superheroes minus the love, admiration, and respect from their peers.
3) The Comedian is a goddamn chauvinist pig.
