This is a refreshingly great read, and a very pleasant surprise after all the other mediocre works I've encountered so far. The book is meaty, but interesting along the way, with plenty of worldbuilding and characterization to make up an interesting setting. I especially enjoy the way the writing doesn't take itself too seriously. ...more

Started out a bit rough but still kept my interest and then bit by bit the tension built to an awesome cliffhanger of an ending, so now I can't wait for the sequel. ...more
