I really like LitRPG books that use the earth as a backdrop, and this book does that (to some extent). While most of the book takes place off earth (or in the game), I still like the way things are handled. There's a lot fo good stuff here, and it's always interesting to see just your average joe dropped into an environment he doesn't know nearly enough about, and see how he comes out. I really really like this series. It's not often I come across a book that I will listen to (yes I've evolved into a mainly audiobook consumer) instead of doing other things to pass my time after work. My typical method is to listen as I commute to and from work, and sometimes when doing work around the house. However, with The Gam3 series, I find things to do so I can pay attention to the story outside of my commute. The universe created by Cosimo is incredibly enthralling and of all the LitRPG

I like the premise a lot! I just hope there will be more planning involved on the side of the protagonist in the next novel. It sure feels a lot like he is just stumbling upon situation after situation and narrowly escaping every single time through a little bit of quick thinking and a LOT of Eve's help. I'd sure like him to start thinking for himself a lot more :P. As it is, there is just no apparent reason why he was SPOILER ALERT chosen to become a machine lord in the first place. I mean, the
