What Members Thought

First of all, I saw here that I'd read this book before, which came as a surprise to me! Unfortunately, it was no Anne of Green Gables. The effort to paint Indians as mostly "good" people comes off as arrogant and ignorant. The family is not memorable or even that likable. I suppose the test of time has also had an impact here.
