This book focus more on the zombies in Anita Blake's world than the vampires but the vampire are still present. It's refreshing that the zombies aren't the traditional kind like in the movies. It's a pretty dark and gory book but also enjoyable. Anita gets on the bad side of to different villains. The first being a rich man who wants her to raise a zombie using human sacrifice but she refuses but he does not take no for an answer. Anita continues her supernatural adventures and learns a lot about herself in the process.
A bit more gore than the the first story and a lot more disturbing imagery but still an enjoyable story.

Ok, started the new book. Lets see if I like thins one better than the first.
Still do not like it...I was bored, fed up. Same things repeated endlessly. I o not care that Anita is bad ass (she could be badder), she wines a lot.... enough, up to the 3rd book.
