This book was not at all what I expected, but it really is such an amazingly crafted novel. I loved how it seemed to be about such ordinary events that actually held so much meaning once you understood the point of the story. Even such things as the characters' sexual desires and activities, which would perhaps be commonplace in the lives of an ordinary teenager, become filled with meaning by the end of the book.

I have to admit the first two times I picked up this book, I stopped after the first dozen pages and moved on. Maybe you just have to be in the right mood. มีความรู้สึกแปลกๆ คือมันเล่าเรื่องแบบไม่ปูอะไรทั้งนั้น เล่าแบบไม่สนใจว่าคนอ่านจะรู้หรือเปล่าว่าอะไรคืออะไร แล้วก็เล่าแบบเป็นห้วงคำนึงนึกถึงสิ่งนี้แล้วทอดไปเรื่อยๆ (แต่เราจะไม่งงกับลำดับเวลาขนาดนั้น) แน่นอนว่าส่วนตัวก็พอโอเคกับการเล่าเรื่อง ชอบการบรรยายที่ให้เห็นบรรยากาศของสถานที่ซึ่งน่าจะสวยมากๆ

Very sad and disturbing. One of those books with a big plot twist but you can see it coming from miles away.
