Grade B+. This was really great! Lauren usually writes wonderful male characters but this time it's the female character that really shines. Hazel is eccentric, exciting, adventuresome, fun loving and slightly odd. She's also loving and wonderful and surrounded by pets with names like Winnie the Poodle. Her best friend's brother is Josh of the title. He's half Korean and a hunk who has seen Hazel at her most wild and out there. DNF. I wanted to like this book. I LOVED Hazel and her quirky personality. I needed a hotmess heroine and Hazel definitely fit the bill with her bad cooking and zoo of pets. However, after the drunk sex scene, I kind of lost interest. That scene didn't sit right with me and I just wasn't able to get back on track after that. I disliked the beginning of this book and I hated the end. I almost DNF'd it actually which is extremely rare for me. This is the first Christina Lauren book I have read. I have seen a lot of recommendations and good reviews for their books, but for some reason none of them really have appealed to me. I did like the actual writing a lot I just didn't like some of the situations, so I would definitely give them another try to see if it was just this book or all of them.
