Not a book I would have chosen for myself. It was a book club choice. But it was a good book. I laughed and cried my way through it. Definitely a good read.
This isn't about 'fangirlS' plural or fandom in general. This is about one fangirl who writes a bunch of slash fanfic about a series that is about teenage wizards--but isn't Harry Potter.
It's not even in a world where Harry Potter doesn't exist. The wizarding world doesn't even seem very interesting at all:
- The spells are super lame. (Presto changeo? Really?)
- There are wizards and vampires and MERWOLFS mentioned? Like...werewolf/mermaids? (I listened to the audio so I might be off base on how ...more
