3.5* (old review I changed my opinion a lot ignore this)

The ending was alright. Kinda too easy. There wasn't much fighting, she just found the secret to winning. I actually liked Kelsier's fight to steal the atrium at the beginning of the book better. In the parts around the last fight there was a ton of thoughts and conversations that cut through the fighting that I didn't like. Some actually was important and interesting, but some also broke the tension.

... technically, I should knock a few stars off for the fact the beginning took me three years to slug through ... but all is forgiven now.

Sanderson writes the perfect romance. Plain and simple (take that phrase either way, it was meant as both).

A great premise and massive potential but just did not pay off for me.

A good read in general, likeable characters, not a great deal of world building, good plot with some interesting turns.

I found this slightly immature for my fantasy taste, I feel like if the book had been condensed into a couple of hundred pages less it wouldn't have made much of a difference either, I was expecting something epic and didn't really get that.

The plot was enjoyable, I recently read 'six of crows' so was intrigue

This book was absolutely amazing, and probably is one of the best fantasy books I have ever read. Brandon Sanderson starts off by developing this interesting world and political system in a way that was great to read yet still informative. And all of his characters were so thoroughly developed, yet still mysterious in their actions and words. Throughout the story, Sanderson continues to raise the stakes and challenges to places that I could not have even imagined going in. And, Elend Venture... ...more

OH MY LORD RULER.

This book, like most of Sanderson's works, was amazing. Of course, the plot twists left me gob smacked. Definitely worth a read.
