I can't say that I'm a Steinbeck fan (although, that attitude developed in high school) but I really liked this book. I already knew the basic story from the movie so the ending wasn't a surprise, but the whole book was great. All of the characters are very believeable and I loved the foreshadowing. It was very well written and held my attention from the beginning. I would definately recommend this book to anyone.
