I am devoting two months of reading time to catching up on the kiddie lit that I missed as a child. So far this one is clearly the worst--a thoroughly awful book about a thoroughly awful little sociopath. It encourages kids to lie, smart-mouth, be rude and defiant to adults, hog dessert down so nobody else can have any, take foolish dangerous risks, and shoot holes in the roof with their father's guns.
