To be honest, I have heard of “Pippi Longstocking” when I was little, but I only saw the movies of the little red haired heroine, but then again I might have read this book when I was younger. Olivia and I enjoyed Pippi Longstocking a great deal. Olivia identified with all of Pippi's antics. At times, Olivia would gasped with Pippi was doing something unusual. I would have given this book four starts but was a bit bothered by the end when Pippi found some pistols in her attic. I did, however, remind myself that this book was written 60 years ago during a different time in history. All in all, we did like Pippi and I enjoyed the time with my Olivia.
