What Members Thought
I only read about a third of this book before I gave it up. I found it plodding, and I kept waiting for some sort of payoff which never came. I loved "Cryptonomicon" by the same author. It was funny, intriguing and I wanted to keep reading it to see where it would go next. This one had none of those qualities, sadly.

As per usual, shit gets interesting once a Shaftoe shows up.
In other news, this should/could be adapted Game-of-Thrones-style, into an HBO miniseries I would watch religiously.
