What Members Thought
If you think that children, especially orphans, should be put to hard work and fed only gum and an occasional casserole, this is a book you would certainly enjoy!
To be a good book, a book must be readable by all older than the desired audience and have the reader be able to appreciate the writing. This is so repetitive that is is easily boring. I can skip pages and not miss a thing becuase it is that repetitive.
This is a cute, funny, and enjoyable series. The Baudelaire children and Count Olaf are always in conflict, no matter where they go. The way Lemony Snicket writes is ingenious. By telling you stop reading... and other things along those lines it is even more likable.
