This! This is something EVERY-SINGLE-BODY should read. Not just because immigration is such a hot, emotional issue right now, but because this novel is about so much more. Melissa writes about perseverance, hope, dreams, love, loyalty, and perspective. Everyone, myself included, could use a refresher course in at least one of the above mentioned themes discussed in this novel.
