I've noticed something odd about Virginia Woolf novels: while I know that I love her writing (especially A Room of One's Own) and that she's a brilliant author, I seem to be underwhelmed by her novels. I'm not sure why that is... I think maybe they need to be read more than once and somewhat absorbed in order to really sink in.
