::edit 2:: An observation I made about this book in a review for a different book. . . "I really think it might have been so effective because King actually had the idea many years ago and 'time traveled' (via living his life) to a point where he had the chops and the help from peers (including his own son; what a mindfuck, in a certain way) to pull it off."
