I enjoyed this book much more than I expected to, although I did have mixed feelings about it. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the novel, felt like I was right in Kentucky along with the characters. I also really liked this book as a summer read, since for some reason I often imagined it taking place in hot weather. The subject matter of the book was very interesting, and I had never heard of the Packhorse Library Project before reading this book. I loved the female characters, their independ ...more
