It may have taken me forever to read this but I loved it! This author's writing really works for me. It's a beautiful literary and character driven approach to writing dystopian fiction with a large cast of characters on their own journeys whose lives and stories across timelines intersect in unexpected ways. It's at once sad and hopeful. Gorgeous book.

This is one of those stories that is all loose ends at the beginning but comes together as it progresses. I didn't understand that going in so I was looking for more action. However, once I got to the second half of the book I realized how much I loved it! This book is one that will stick with me for quite a while.

I had picked this up a long time ago to read and didn't do it for some reason. I really liked it! I was a little confused through the beginning, and usually do not love books that go back and forth in time. This one was done very well though. I was rooting for everyone to make it.

I really liked some parts of the book, the relationships between the characters are well defined and the general theme of the book is really interesting.
However, I did not like the writing style much. The constant changes in POVs and time periods did not confuse me but it really made it hard for me to get into the story. I also found the book to be more pessimistic for my enjoyment level.
I would definitely advise the book for dystopia lovers though because ...more

I enjoyed this story, told through several people.
Impressive and thought provoking. Entertaining the whole way through. Possibly the best dystopian I’ve read.
