I haven't read children's fantasy in a long time and it certainly felt good to be back. It was a short, but fun ride! All those references to other fairy tales and stories were so obvious, but that's what made them so much fun.
I loved our main character, I loved that she was different from other princesses and interesting, and so smart and hard working. I really enjoyed reading about Cimerone. All the other characters were great as well, for some reason I specifically liked the stone princ ...more
