This book was… interesting?
I think it’s the first real 3rd person omniscient book I’ve read, and I actually found myself really liking the narration on that front. It was a nice change of pace and handled in a way that wasn’t confusing at all.
I also liked the beginning quite a bit. I was interested in the difficulties of surviving on the planet, in the hints of ecological mystery, and in the Fremen’s dreams for the future. I was interested in some of the household relationships.
