This was fantastic. It's been a long time since I've read characters that felt this real. I want to meet Mark Watney!

I took my precious time with this because, honestly, I didn't want it to be over. Now that it is, I feel a small pang of sadness, it's that good.

I completely enjoyed all the scientific and personal information within this story. I certainly didn't understand all the scientific and technical details but it made for an interesting complications. Every technical glitch that could go wrong did go wrong. I have not seen the movie but I wonder how they could visualize some of the situations that happen only within Matt's mind. But I will rent the movie to see which version I prefer best. I'm betting on the book. ...more
