What Members Thought
There are definitely many highlights, but this was a slog for me at times. Unfortunately, my re-read of the series is a little disappointing so far. Though this one is regarded as the peak of the series, I seem to recall liking House of Chains and Midnight Tides, best of all
I didn't remember i like this book as much. I actually shed a little tear with if frankly really rare for me. Honestly i think after a somewhat shaky start with Gardens of the Moon Erikson keeps getting stronger in his writing and character development. The world keeps throwing in wonderfully rich characters as well. And frankly if one thing touches me in these books above everything else is the nobility it projects. This series just keeps getting better and better. Memories of ice will literally shake you to your very core. It has everything...non-stop action, complex plot and history, love, hate, redemption, betrayal and deep and meaningful reactions and contemplations of all of the above...a MUST READ!
