The third book in The Malazan Book of the Fallen and the best yet. It is a masterpiece and probably the best book I've ever read.
We return back to Genabackis to meet the characters from "Gardens of the Moon" marking the return of the Bridgeburners. The characterizations are excellent as usual. Erikson's writing is tight for a book of 1200 pages. There is not a single dull moment and the pace is relentless.
