"The world changed around us and we stayed the same"
Where do I start? As I sit here after closing the book just this second, with a shocked, enthralled, amazed, brooding look on my face I think it's safe to say this book as royally floored me. I was drawn to Mare's world instantly and was left breathless as each chapter brought me to understanding her world/life even more.

Bruh, i don't even know what to say. I didn't expect half of the things that happened in the book. I hate that little bitch, he was also the biggest plot twist to me and I still can't wrap my head around it! Also Cal deserves better I love him so much, poor baby. I'm excited to start the sequel

This book is so good! The storyline unfolds pretty fast. The plot twist was kinda predictable, but I still liked it. I loved Mare! Her character was so strong and determined, but she was naive too. The other characters were ok I guess. I hated a few, but that was the whole point.

I need to read the sequel! NOW! This book was amazing. I tried rushing it at the end cause my mom was urging me to go to sleep, and then things became confusing, so take your time and enjoy this book. The plot twist at the end was really good and Aveyard did a real nice job with wording and such.
I would recommend this to those who love YA books and are in need of a good book to read. Basically everyone.

I liked it but I feel like after reading the "Throne of Glass" series I was a little disappointed. If anyone really liked this series I recommend reading the throne of glass series next. ( I would say more about why I was disappointed but that would mean giving out spoilers for the other series) :/
