Well crafted, intense and incredibly riveting!
This is an engrossing hair-raising thriller that touches on just how much people are creatures of habit and how vulnerable that routine behaviour truly makes us. It is a story about jealousy, greed, manipulation, trust, deception, violence, and murder.

This was the fourth time I’ve read this book, the first time being in 2017. I studied it in a writing class to see how Ms Mackintosh put it together.
It is written in three POVs; first person (Zoe the victim); third person (Kelly the detective); and second person (the villain). Clare set the pace just right, slowing it down at the right time. Of course, the last thirty pages were very fast, and I found myself at the edge of my seat.
