I was initially a little apprehensive about this book and I still wasn't sure about it with the first chapters I read. But I was certainly intrigued, and wanted to find out more. The more I read, the more engrossed I became, and I read about the last third of the book in one sitting before I (belatedly) turned my light out at bedtime!

Well this book was...peculiar! I typically don't read up on what a book is about ahead of time, as I don't want to come across any spoilers. As it started off, I thought it was going to be about a boy's uncovering of his grandfather's past as a Holocaust survivor and I was really looking forward to that journey. I began reading this book with some trepidation because of earlier posts. However, I decided to erase all of that and begin with an open mind.
