Shelves: horrible-book, loves-the-main-guy, stupid-ending

This was one of the first books that taught me what makes a bad book (I was 14 when this book was released). Before this point, I had read books in the past that I didn't like, but I never thought it was a bad book... until this abomination was released.

Terrible writing, horrific character assassination, and contrived plot points that go nowhere. It's an insult to the original books. Patterson should fire the ghostwriters who wrote this.

Ew, just ew. This book MAJORLY ticked me off. And believe me when I say MAJORLY. I mean, what the heck happened to everything? What happened to the Flock? I mean the true flock? I know Fang had to leave or whatever but wouldn't the real flock go search him out, no matter what he said? I don't know- that's just me. I was reading the first few books the other day and remembering what a great team they all were and how the stories themselves were just plain better.

Way better than "Fang"! Thought I don't like how Max is falling for Dylan, Fang is falling for Maya (Max II), that everyone thinks Angel is dead, and that Max and Fang are fighting 24/7!!! I liked plot about the dooms day group and how Fang has his own flock. Angel FINALLY got back to her old self after becoming super depressed and evil! Cannot wait for the last book coming out February 2012, but am bummed about it being the last of the seris after being really, really into it. Also excited abou ...more

Definitely not as good as the previous books. James Patterson doesn't seem to give the reader what they want, and after 6 other books in the series and one more book to go, it isn't having a very effective wrap-up...
We can all hope the last book will be more satisfying, which hopefully it will!
