What Members Thought

I enjoyed this book as much or even more than the first in the series. More things happening.

Maybe it's because I don't have to listen to that annoying narrator who weights every word with unnecessary significance as I'm reading this one, but many of the problematic elements such as clunky writing have disappeared in this second book. 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4.
Really like the setting, the story, and the characters, but the book itself is filled with endless descriptions and fluff. After a while I started keeping track of all the times weather was mentioned, because no matter what, a scene wasn't complete until the sun was shining or rain was pouring or the cold was setting in. Really started to grate on my nerves after a while.
Great idea for a protagonist, though. Wish this series was more well known. ...more
