The Exiled Queen is a solid second installment to the Seven Realms series. It has all the elements that made the first book, The Demon King, so good: great writing, fantastic world-building, developed characters, twists, and a slow but steady pace. The beginning is a little slower than usual, but once the action picks up, it leaves you on the egde of your seat.
Cinda Williams Chima once again delivers an amazing YA Fantasy book. Still t ...more

The first half was a bit slow, but it was still good. I just love the characters in this series. This definitely isn't typical YA fare. In fact, there really isn't that much about it that is young adult (except for the ages of the main characters.) The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm eager to get my hands on the next book.
