This was the best sci-fi book I've probably read, ever.

Stuck on Mars with nothing but disco, Mark Watney is definitely the smartest, cutest, most resourceful, most admirable and maybe funniest narrator I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

His life was like a crack in the mirror. The poor guy had so much bad luck. He gets stranded on Mars!

Great premise, plot and tension, setting, tone and humor. The characters were wanting in depth (you know, backstory really does affect front story, in a good story), but that’s to be expected with a large cast, an intricate plot and an extremely detailed setting. The humor made up, in part, for the lack of character development.

Content: A Jehovah's Witness friend of mine said that the profanity is a bit much on audio, so I read the hard copy and didn't find it bad at all.

Overall: A lot of fun! ...more
