Well the Lunar Chronicles has definitely turned out to be a favorite series. A true genre fusion of perfection. Meyer ups the action and creates the perfect adrenaline rush with Cress. You know that perfect addiction that long time readers crave to find. (After all I'm a book JUNKIE for a reason.) With satellites falling out of the sky, rescue missions, political maneuvering, mild romances, kidnappings, and more my head was full of awesomeness. Cress really did go places.

As I've sad before with each new female lead, or side character, I've found something to like. Cress is the same. Too be honest as I got to know her a section of my brain was amused by the fact that Cress had all the characteristics traits to be super annoying. Instead Meyer created a sweet and innocent girl. One of hope, conscious, and to be quite honest I had this urge to protect her as her adventures swept her away. Her triumphs and character growth made me so happy! Even her mild romance swept me up.

Scarlet and Wolf had such passion. It was wild, fast, and heady. So when Cress talked about basically cyber stalking Thorne and how only she knew the true him I was prepared to suffer. A super fan basically falling for a man she's never met—love at first sight—and pretending that she truly knows him. Thornes interactions didn't exactly encourage me at first. However, I soon came to realize how this romance seemed more real and powerful than most YA books.

The other characters and storylines are well developed. Cinder and Kia fans have some good times to look forward to. Scarlet's story line actually annoyed me immensely. However, I do see how it helps tie in and pull the next book up. So be warned Scarlet and Wolf fans you're not going to get much from either character this round. This is very much a Cress and Thorne book, along with Cinder and Kia.

Again! The full universe isn't expanded on. Mars is used, galaxy, and the whole universe. So are other planets inhabited? When a galactic conflict is referred to is it only between Luna and Earth? At this point it has to be because it would be sloppy to suddenly say that other places were inhabited. Because the politics here have only been about Luna and Earth. It still bothers me that the universe and full world development of the Lunar Chronicles is half baked. But with only one book left I'm forced to realize that my picky questions will not be answered, and that the series is good enough as is. (Grudgingly.)

To be honest there were a lot of predictable storylines and plot points. It was all blended well with all those fun and exciting things that I mentioned before. So for me this is a success. Even with those minor irritations. The Lunar Chronicles will definitely be a staple for Young Adult fans. I enjoy how each new character stands on there own and the changing points of views never get muddled. Each character becomes a friend. The next stop is for Cinder to liberate her people! Who knows what will happen. No one wants a beloved character to die. (Well most of the time.) Cress has definitely brought the Lunar Chronicles to it’s full potential.

This series is really good. I remember when the first book came out and I didn't think I'd like it so it took years for me to pick it up. I'm so glad that I did.
