Awww, this was a sweet story about an unlikely relationship between a woman and one very bright Octopus 🐙. It has a few side stories from various characters that eventually all center back to Tova, the main character.
It’s an easy read and will give you some giggles but will also tug at your heart a bit.

I kept having this book come up on Libby and I kept telling it to deliver later, IDK why, I think I had a totally different idea of what the book was about. What? I'm not sure. I loved the unusual points of view this story is told from. There are three in total, one being the perspective of an octopus. Another is an elderly woman who keeps herself busy with a part-time job at the local aquarium, as well as with her group of friends, the Knit-Wits. “Humans. For the most part you are full and blundering. But occasionally, you can be remarkably bright creatures.”

This is a tender, albeit predictable, story of a 30 year old deadbeat trying to find his dad. Well, extort him. And the story of the family and life he finds instead.

But it is funny. It’s light. A little more drawn out then it needs to be. But enjoyable read.
