What Members Thought
Liked:
- introverted, polite, kind Fanny. Definitely a low drama kind of girl.
- the mellow pacing. Almost nothing happens: they think about putting on a play, but don't; there's almost no actual romance; there's minimal suspense...and yet it kept my attention.
- the thoughtfulness about what it means to be a good person
Not so much:
- Other than Fanny and Edward, there's basically zero likable characters
- the ending, when all of the chips fall, is conveyed to the reader almost entirely in letter for ...more
