Whether it was because I love the film and it symbolises my childhood, so I went into this book with so much expectation, joy and I just wanted so much from it. I went into knowing that I wasn’t doing to be getting the music, and that it’s a children’s book, trying not to expect too much, but it’s still hard not to.

There were so many differences, one in particular being those Slippers that Dorothy gets off the Wicked Witch at the beginning. Those iconic slippe ...more

Shelves: 4-star

This is actually the first book I have read that was made into a movie. It was truly different than the movie. They cut stuff out, (which comes with any book made into a movie thing) changed facts, (I don't like to well) and they just completely changed what happened (that ticked me off a little) but all and all good book, good movie.

If I had to choose between them, I liked the movie better. ...more
