Due to the influence of my friend Barb, I decided to finally read some Arthur Conan Doyle. I can't say I'll become a ravenous fan who lives to attend the next Sherlock Convention, but I enjoyed it and intend to follow up with a collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories.

I recently listed to a 1950s Rex Stout mystery on audio and, as I suspected then, I am now certain he was following the Holmes-Watson tradition of detective story/crime solving. Tonight I thought about Batman and Robin and reco ...more
