i was a bit apprehensive at the start of this book, having started it not long after digesting patti smith's just kids. but once i accepted it as a different (more fantastical and obviously fictional) take on a similar era, i was along for the ride.

Reread 4/24 audiobook
Truly a 5 star reading experience. I get so sucked into this book, the characters and the story they are telling about their band. Absolutely phenomenal as audio with a full cast, but I think that would have been much harder for me to follow if I hadn’t read the physical book first.

Daisy Jones & The Six tells the story of the rise and fall of a fictionalized 1970's rock band (reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac). Set in the rock ’n roll culture of the 1970s, there's lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll.
The story is told in a documentary, interview style with the band members, and people close to it.
