This has to be one of the best nonfiction books I’ve ever read. This book narrates the Osage tribe in Oklahoma in the 1900s when there is a vast amount of Osage citizens murdered suspiciously. This was so well written that it reads like fiction but no this was all REAL. This all happened and it is so tragic because literally everyone Osage in present time had a family member affected by. How was this disgraceful chapter of the mistreatment and intricate conspiracy against the Osage peoples allowed to happen....and then continue for so long? What's amazing is the entitlement that was felt by those plotting against and benefitting from the Osage headrights. An inticate plot with such complexity and scope that unanswered questions remain to this day. ...more

This book was so good. Really insane story about a gruesome period of conspired murders of countless “oil-rich” Osage tribe members in Oklahoma, that ended up becoming one of the first big FBI homicide investigations. If you’re in the mood for a non-fiction, I highly recommend.
