A tough book that I read mostly for the title and positive reviews. Wildly triggering I suspect for some but I appreciated feeling like an often undiscussed perspective was described.

Anyone with a mom who had or has borderline personality disorder or is narcissistic, this is a must-read.

Sad, but nothing surprising about the living vicariously through one’s famous children portrayed here. Obviously mental illness was part of it which made it all the more sad. Some gratuitous descriptions of sex which were unnecessary.
