I really had a lot of fun reading this! It read a bit like YA - I don’t remember if it was actually YA or not as I snagged it from the library - but it did seem to have a bit of YA fluff in the plot line. You know, young person angst, always fighting against being told not to do something, and the main character, Feyre, did make some annoying decisions that put her in unnecessary danger, after being warned against it. I was really dubious about liking this book because everyone was raving about it. I saw it randomly at the library and decided to pick it up, but didn’t have high expectations. But I couldn’t put it down! Some aspects were a bit trope, but I didn’t find myself caring. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series! I have seen it compared to twilight/hunger games but while there were a couple aspects I could see of those, it wasn’t enough that I thought it ridiculous or worth worrying ab

I was surprised that this is so hyped. It was.. okay. Does some of spice that I skipped over. Maybe my expectations were too high?
Enjoyed this immensely, however if I read the phrase “shred to ribbons” one more time I may scratch my eyes out..
