So, ever since I can remember my mom has been bugging me to read East of Eden and Grapes of Wrath. I never have. But asked to read a book under 200 pages and I thought, "Hey, Of Mice and Men is short." After about 20 pages the whole trajectory of the book was so painfully obvious that I just wasn't enjoying it. I mentioned this to my mother who responded, "I never once recommended you read of Mice and Men. Sorry, Mom.

There were moments in the writing that I enjoyed and honestly am more inclined ...more
