If you are prone to depression and or suicidal thoughts, this is probably a good book to read. If your life is filled with regret... again, probably a good introspective book for you.
It makes you think in one way or another.
I am not prone to depression OR suicidal thoughts... but I do have a lifetime of regretful life moves... makes you think about how you can turn that around.

I felt like this novel started out very promising. The premise caught my interest, and the novel jumped right into the plot. I couldn’t stop reading the first few chapters! But then it started to slow down and drag a bit, and then it started to get even more slow and repetitive. I was putting the book down for longer and longer periods of time. 'You don't have to understand life. You just have to live it.'

When I heard about this book, I was intrigued by the concept, so I immediately put it on hold. I finally got it from the library yesterday, and was excited to begin. It was such a fast read, only 288 pages, and such a unique concept that it kept me interested right from the start.

I have a lot of good things in my life, but I also have a lot of regrets. I think that's why this book spoke to me. I have choices I made in the past that I

I liked this book. It was enjoyable but after awhile I was ready for it to end. There were a lot of relatable themes in the book but there were also some moments that seemed contrived. I listened to it on Audible and really enjoyed Carrie Mulligan’s narration.

The Midnight Library is like a philosophical “what if” machine. Nora Seed, caught between life and death, gets to explore all the lives she could have lived—each one representing a different choice she made (or didn’t make). The concept is brilliant and gave me a lot to think about in terms of regret, possibility, and how we define a meaningful life.

Some parts felt a bit repetitive, and a few of the "alternate lives" were more compelling than others, but overall, it’s a hopeful and creative take
