I very much enjoyed this at first, but the second half was rather long-winded and the eventual ending came as an anticlimax.
I loved Edward Gorey's illustrations.
This "definitive edition" includes "Dracula's Guest", a bibliography and a short biography.

With all the vampire hype going on at the moment I was curious to read the novel that established the entire vampire story genre as we know it today. So far I haven't been lucky with classics and often ended up being bored...that wasn't the case with Dracula at all. From the very beginning I was sucked into the story with its loveable characters (one of the points I was most suprised about) and besides one or two verbose scenes rather breathless till the end.

What an amazing novel! I read an abridged version when I was younger and I loved it, but now I wanted to read the unabridged version. It was even better! Plus, my husband bought me an edition with illustrations, which made it all the more enjoyable. I can't wait until my little boy is old enough to read it together. The plotlines is amazing, especially when it is all told through letters and journal entries. So much better than all of the YA vampire fluff that is out there. No one comes close to
