Highly recommend this novel. Although I only rated it 4 stars as I felt it was longer then necessary.

THE GOLDFINCH is long, verbose, profound. Many times depressing. I'm not sure I understood much of what I was reading. I'm not sure I was supposed to understand much of it either. I'm sure the book will speak to some the same way THE GOLDFINCH painting spoke to Welty, Audrey Decker, and Theo Decker. ...more
